I WILL SAVE MY OWN

The world is in the midst of great commotion. Everywhere we look, we hear of terrible experiences: wars upon wars, the emergence of novel diseases, wildfires, floods, droughts, and many other natural disasters.

But this is not a cause for alarm. Rather, it is a call for us to ask ourselves one very sincere question: If this world were to end today, what would be my fate?

Even scientists recognize that the earth, as we know it, will not last forever. One day, this present world will come to an end. When that happens, where will you stand? What will be your fate? This is a question every one of us must ask.

One day, I had a revelation from God. I saw the world in great commotion. The earth was literally burning with strange and intense fires, and everyone was running helter skelter, desperately trying to escape. But there was no escape route.

As I ran with a group of people, trying to escape the fire, I suddenly saw a narrow door. It appeared to be the only way of escape from the fire consuming the entire world. Immediately I saw the door, I ran toward it and passed through it.

As I left the earth through that narrow door, I saw a vast body of sparkling, clear water stretching as far as the eye could see. Beneath the water was a massive rock that seemed to have no end. Upon the surface of the water stood a gigantic lion, appearing as though it were made of glass. It was so enormous that its head covered the entire surface of the rock. The lion was mighty and majestic.

Then it spoke with a loud voice:

“I will save My own.”

Dear brother and sister, that revelation made me think deeply. It reminded me of what the Bible has already revealed about Jesus Christ, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).

He is the Prince of Peace. He is the Savior of the world. Jesus earned this role by willingly surrendering His life for the sins of mankind. He gave Himself, died on the cross, and rose again on the third day so that we might have life.

And now, the ball is in your court. Jesus has done His part. What will you do with Him?

Your part is simple: surrender your life to Him. Believe that Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, that He died for your sins, and that He rose again on the third day. When you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, you receive a new kind of life: eternal life.

It is God’s kind of life. It is life that does not end with this present world. Even when everything around us passes away, eternal life endures forever. It does not stop there. God gives you His Spirit to lead and guide you. He teaches you how to live. You no longer live for a world that will one day perish. You begin to live for the One who will never perish.

So, dear friend, the question is no longer simply, “What is happening to the world?”

The greater question is, “Where will I be when this world comes to an end?”

Jesus is the Door. Jesus is the Way. Jesus is the Savior.

Will you surrender to Him today?

I will conclude with these words:

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

If this world were to end today, where would you stand?

Jesus has done His part. What will you do with Him?
